The Alentejo chef arrived at the five-star hotel restaurant in 2006 and, from now on, will be responsible for creating the menus with proposals that are true gastronomic works of art.
The kitchen at the Divinus restaurant, in the Convento do Espinheiro, has new management. It will be run by Chef Jorge Peças.
Born in Alentejo, he is known for creating unique gastronomic experiences and using the best local produce. Chef Jorge Peças has now taken on the role of Executive Chef at Restaurante Divinus, in Convento do Espinheiro.
It was his passion for gastronomy that led Jorge Peças to enroll in the Regional Professional School and, later, to join the demanding kitchen at Divinus, over a decade ago. His dedication to the art of gastronomy has translated into a brilliant career over the years. He has always remained loyal to the restaurant where he grew up. In 2017, he took on the role of Sous Chef, always committed to safeguarding and promoting the ancestral flavours of Alentejo cuisine.
Therefore, being discreet, perfectionist, genuine and cordial, these adjectives characterize the new Chef. He seeks out ingredients from Mediterranean cuisine to blend harmoniously with the local gastronomy, creating true works of art.
