The second article on our blog has to be appealing. Yes, appealing! And what could be more appealing than talking about the restaurants at Convento do Espinheiro?
Whether you are staying at our resort or simply want to indulge in some true works of art, we invite you to discover the Divinus Restaurant, which serves traditional Alentejo gourmet cuisine.
We would like to start by introducing the person responsible for our new winter menu, which respects the seasonality of our products, and for our cuisine, Chef Hugo Silva. Our Chef has an enviable resume, having worked in several 3 Michelin star restaurants in Portugal, Spain and France.
The new winter menu is full of love, art and imagination. Here are three appetizers from our menu to make your mouth water: Venison Tartare, Pigeon À Brás and Peas with Chorizo and Poached Egg. Are you convinced yet? In addition to meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, we also have “a perfect symbiosis” chosen by the Chef, the Tasting Menu. With a different approach, but with equally fresh and quality products, the Olive Restaurant offers a surprising Italian gastronomic experience.
With a minimalist and comfortable atmosphere, this restaurant was created in the old monks' kitchen, which makes it a unique place. You can choose from bruschettas, focaccias, pastas, risottos and pizzas made in a wood-fired oven, and the olive oil, extracted from the olive trees of the Convento Espinheiro itself, is the base for our more classic dishes or those inspired by Alentejo.
Both the Divinus Restaurant and the Olive Restaurant will make your dinner a memorable moment, with a gastronomic experience at the level of the Convento do Espinheiro.
